Reactions of Alkynes

Interactive Drawing Problem — Interactive problem: select an alkyne and a reagent, then draw the expected product.
Note: The molecular drawing editor (JME) requires conversion to a modern JavaScript alternative. The problem selection interface below is functional.
In this problem we shall consider three alkyne reactants:
ethyne (acetylene)     1-butyne     2-butyne

These compounds may be reacted with nine different reagents:
Hydrogen & Lindlar catalyst Hydrogen & Pt catalyst H3O(+) & HgSO4
Hydrogen Chloride
(1 equivalent)
Sodium in liq. Ammonia Bromine
(2 equivalents)
(i) Disiamylborane, R2BH
(ii) H2O2 in NaOH soln.
Hydrogen Chloride
(2 equivalents)
(i) Sodium Amide (1 equivalent)
(ii) Ethyl bromide

Select one alkyne from the first group, and one reagent from the second group.
